During the course dogs are trained to specific commands. The most important part is to train
the owners to respond, understand and respect why their pets respond on specific
commands.

Basic Obedience

In the basic obedience course, dogs are trained on-leash to respond to specific commands.
These commands - sit, down, stay, heel and come – to provide a method of communication
and mutual understanding between the owner and the dog. The importance of consistency,
eye contact, verbal clues and body language are also emphasized. This course is suitable to
different breeds, ages and owners. Each class session topics can be different and may focus
on different problem solving methods. Behaviour shaping techniques for chewing, digging,
barking, jumping up and housebreaking etc. are discussed and demonstrated. The goal of the
basic obedience course is to stimulate understanding and communication between dog and
owner. Remember: people are not born with an inherent ability to "talk" with dogs and dogs
are not born with an inherent ability to "talk" with people. Just as babies must be taught to
speak words and comprehend ideas, so a dog must be taught what you expect of him/her.
Our goal is to help you underastand your dog. The class is 12 weeks long (3 times a week = a
total of 36 hours or boarded for 6 weeks). Upon graduation, owners are strongly encouraged
to participate in a sports trial (low level) or advanced class.

Intermediate Obedience

Intermediate obedience allows pets and their owners to expand their horizons in
communication through off-leash recalls, hand commands, and increased eye contact
between pet and owner. Pets and owners in this course learn to have a strong bond between
them. This course is also suitable to different breeds, ages and owners.  Owner/dog now as a
pair must pass a simple basic obedience test (given the first day of class) to qualify for this
course.  Classes may include small field trips and small trials to test the dog/owner bond and
co-operation. Upon graduation, owners are strongly encouraged to enroll in a sports or
advanced class. Continuing education is a great way to maintain the dog/owner bond while
being just plain FUN! The intermediate obedience class is structured to help the  transition for
owners from on-leash to off-leash training and enjoy the real bonding with your dog.

Advanced Obedience

Advanced obedience allows pets and their owners to expand their horizons in communication
through off-leash training methods and complete voice control. Pets and owners in this
course must have a strong bond between them. This course is also suitable to different
breeds, ages and owners. Owner/dog now as real  partners must pass a simple basic
obedience test (given the first day of class) to enter this course. to qualify for this course.
Classes may include small field trips and trials to test the dog/owner bond and co-operation.
Upon graduation, owners are strongly encouraged to enroll in a trial class (BH) . Continuing
pet /owner education is a great way to maintain the real bond while being just plain FUN! The
advanced obedience class is structured to help the transition for owners from on-leash to
complete off-leash training.  You can enjoy the real bonding with your dog and have the ideal
companion.

Show Training

Show training  allows pets and their owners to expand their horizons in the dog show world.
In Cyprus we have 4 double  CACIB and many more CAC shows per year. Indulging in the
Show world is really addicting.

J
unior Handling Training

Junior handling  training  allows pets and their little  owners ( actually this is the dog future of
our country) to expand their horizons in the dog show world. Junior handlers compete in 2
categories according to the age. From 6 to 11 years old and from 12 to 18 years old. Plenty of
shows to take part. For serious junior handlers they can enter the Cyprus championship ( with
points system, according to placing). Lot’s of fun and definitely upon graduation, we have
young owners that maintain the dog/owner bond while being just plain fun.
